SaveMediaOnline FAQ
Find quick answers about media analysis, formats, devices, privacy, and responsible use.
Is SaveMediaOnline free to use?
Core downloader access is provided through the website. Features, limits, and availability may change as the service evolves.
Which platforms are supported?
See the current Supported Platforms page. A listed platform may still have unsupported post types or inaccessible URLs.
Can I download private videos?
No. The service is designed for supported public content and does not ask for account passwords or attempt to bypass private access controls.
Why is 1080p not available?
SaveMediaOnline shows formats detected for the exact source. Some posts provide only lower resolutions; others separate high-quality video and audio or restrict access.
Can I download audio only?
Audio options appear only when the source and current downloader support them. The available container and quality vary by link.
Where are files saved?
Your browser and device decide the final location. See Where Are Downloads Saved? for iPhone, Android, Windows, and macOS instructions.
Why did my download link expire?
Generated jobs, files, and links are temporary. Reanalyze the original public URL to create a fresh result.
Does SaveMediaOnline store submitted URLs?
URLs may be held in encrypted form while a temporary job is active, along with limited technical data needed for security and reliability. Read the Privacy Policy.
May I repost what I download?
Only if you have the necessary rights or permission. Download availability does not transfer copyright or create permission to redistribute.
What should I try when a link fails?
Confirm that the URL is complete, public, and from a supported platform; then follow the Troubleshooting Guide.
